SMART-DAPPER launches August 31, 2020 in Kisumu! SMART-DAPPER addresses a pressing need – providing mental health services. SMART-DAPPER has trained non-specialists at Ministry of Health primary care clinics to deliver mental health care to participants with depression and/or post-traumatic stress disorder. Participants will be randomized to receive 12 weekly sessions of Interpersonal Psychotherapy or 6 months of fluoxetine. Participants who are not in remission at the end of the first phase of treatment will be randomized to receive the other treatment or to combination treatment.
